We live in a world where time has become a commodity, where self-reflection is seen as a distraction, and where technology has provided some amazing opportunities yet hampered our ability to connect with each other.

We run experiential retreats for young people and adults in Assisi, in the heart of the Italian countryside, with breathtaking views filled by stunning birdsong and decorated with vibrant medieval architecture that must be witnessed to be believed.

Following in the footsteps of St Francis, we will learn of his journey and dreams, whilst exploring and spending time at the sites most sacred to him, such as the beautifully simple 10th Century churches of San Damiano, San Stefano and his mountain refuge on Mount Subasio.

Fr Martin Hughes

A resident of Dublin, Fr. Martin has been involved in parish, school chaplaincy, prison ministry and youth work for over 30 years. During that period he also spent his summer months ministering to street gangs in the Los Angeles area of California. Fr. Martin facilitates many types of retreats in Ireland, Europe and the United States. The Assisi retreat has developed over a period of ten years and has a focus on youth and intergenerational groups.
